PRAY!

What is the first step in starting a new church? PRAYER!

Before there is a church planter, a worship service, a plant team, city engagement, or baptisms, we must include the most important element: Prayer!

Sometimes prayer can seem like a secondary step, but in the church-planting process, it is the most important step! Every great move of God, whether in Scripture or in church history, has already been preceded by prayer. Unless the Holy Spirit goes before us, the remaining steps in planting a new local church will not succeed.

Would you, as a family, a small group, or a church, consider adopting one of our counties in Idaho to pray for?

Here are some prompts to get you started:

  • Pray for the Holy Spirit to be at work in the hearts and lives of the people in Idaho

  • Pray for the breaking of bonds of spiritual darkness and false religions

  • Pray for the Gospel to go forth. Pray that God would reveal Himself in incredible ways.

  • Pray for workers in the harvest. Pray that God would send missionaries to Idaho, both long-term and short-term.

  • Pray for strength, endurance, and protection for the existing partners in Idaho and your adopted county.

  • Pray for clarity about how God might use you, as a family or a church, to further His kingdom in Idaho.
