HOW CAN WE MAKE A DIFFRENCE?
Church Strengthening
Jesus designed his church to be the united Church. The Church is one body, unified in all it’s parts no matter where the smaller gatherings happen to exist in the world and across our country. Our churches and existing partner exist in places in Idaho where resources and people are scarce. But we have churches in other places where the resources and the people are plentiful. We believe that both churches in Idaho and other places are blessed and strengthened through partnership, the sharing of resources and the sending of people from one local body to another. Reach Idaho loves to connect churches in our network for that very purpose!
Church Planting
Idaho is mission field! It is a mission field in your own backyard. But even through it is in the United States, it is a foreign mission field in every way except the language. So naturally our strategy is the same approach as we would approach any foreign mission field. At Reach Idaho we hold that the most effective approach to missions is in three parts that naturally build each other:
Networking for Evangelism
Raising up indigenous leaders
Planting churches
This is known as church planting. Jesus has accomplished the work of the Gospel, but the Gospel must go forth! Before he ascended into heaven, Jesus instituted the means of the Gospel to go forth: the Church! The Church is the God-ordained step of the redemption plan of God to bring the world back to himself. It is charged to us: His body.
Equipping Leaders
In Matthew 9:37 Jesus tells his followers that the harvest is great but the workers are few. That completely true in Idaho. And we are passionate about changing that! Whether it’s interns, apprentices, church planters, short-term, or long-term missionaries, we want to train and equip leaders to work the harvest fields of Idaho, because we believe the harvest is great! Contact us and we can help you find your place in the mission field of Idaho!
EPHESIANS 1:20-23
He exercised this power in Christ by raising him from the dead and seating him at his right hand in the heavens—far above every ruler and authority, power and dominion, and every title given, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And he subjected everything under his feet and appointed him as head over everything for the church, which is his body, the fullness of the one who fills all things in every way.
